The Ivory Coast Ligue 1 is the highest football league in Ivory Coast. Founded in 1960, controlled by the Ivorian Football Federation. Previously, the league was called Superdivision or MTN Ligue 1 (1960–2004) and Ligue 1 Orange (2004–2007). There are currently 14 teams participating in the championship. The first in the ranking plays the qualifying play-offs for the CAF Champions League, the 2nd also plays the play-offs for the Confederation Cup (CAF) and the last 2 are relegated to the Ivorian League 2.
