Eredivisie

Eredivisie is the top football league in the Netherlands. Founded in 1956. There are 18 teams participating in the league championship. At the end of the season, two or three of the weakest teams are eliminated in Eerste Divisie.

Ajax Amsterdam tops the list of champions with 35 championships, behind PSV Eindhoven with 24 league titles and Feyenoord with 15 titles. From the 1964/1965 season to the 2017/2018 season, these three teams won all possible championships, except for the 1980/1981 and 2008/2009 seasons, in which AZ Alkmaar, 2009/2010 season in which Twente won and 2019/2020 season in which no champion was crowned.
