Swedish Superettan

Superettan is the second largest football league in Sweden. Consists of 16 teams. During the season (from April to October), each club plays against the other twice, once at their home stadium and once at their opponents' stadium, for a total of 30 games. At the end of the season, the teams that took the first and second places go to Allsvenskan, the third place plays promotion/relegation matches for going to Allsvenskan; the teams that took the last 2 places are relegated to Division 1, those who took 13 and 14 places - play promotion/relegation matches with teams from Division 1 for the right to stay in Superettan.
